Thunder Jackson at Longrider
As the son of an Elvis Presley impersonator, Thunder Jackson saw music, and its transformative powers, as his most logical vocation. From performing songs in his hometown’s bars to busking on the streets of Los Angeles, the Piedmont, Oklahoma native’s journey towards his vibrant, eponymous debut was unique.
That album, Thunder Jackson, produced by Pete Lawrie Winfield (Until the Ribbon Breaks, Run the Jewels) and mixed by Rob Kinelski (Billie Eilish, King Princess), has amassed tens of millions of streams and features the viral hits “Love Sick Doctor” and “Guilty Party”, as well as breakout tracks “Find Yourself” and “Colours”.
Jackson followed his debut with the three-song Take Me Back EP in 2022, produced by Ryland Blackinton (U.S. Girls, Cobra Starship) featuring “God In Oklahoma” and title track, “Take Me Back”, a collaboration with Australian songwriter and producer Chet Faker.
In March 2024, Thunder Jackson returns with a triumphant new single, “Steady Freddy”, mixed by Eric J (Flume, St. Vincent), and accompanied by a music video directed by Jarod Evans (Mothica, Flaming Lips). More new music will follow soon...
