Kalpee is a rising artist from Trinidad & Tobago & part of a new generation of Caribbean musicians pushing a fresh tropical sound aptly named “New Calypso”.

Pulling from his heritage, Kalpee delivers a modern fusion of Calypso, dancehall & reggae rhythm, laced with rock inspired guitar riffs, supported by soulful melodies & a captivating r&b vocal delivery. A conflict of genres sonically blended in perfect balance.

A dynamic vocalist and energetic performer Kalpee has previously worked with platinum recording superstar Stefflon Don on his sun-soaked single ‘Gimme De Ting,‘ & Jamaican “Lightening” singer Mortimer on their “Lessons” release.

2022 saw Kalpee hit No 4 in the UK MW Black Chart and spend 10 weeks in the Top 20 with his single “Island Gyal", while 2023 saw him perform at the Singapore Airlines Singapore GrandPrix. He is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album summer 2024.

To add to his musical credits, Kalpee is the Founder of “Iza Island Wave”, a platform dedicated to bringing music of the Caribbean to the forefront of the international music scene and returning for its 4th year as the Official Caribbean Stage at SXSW Austin Texas.
