Prince Amine at Flamingo Cantina
Prince Amine is an afrobeats / R&B artist from Montreal with a sound as unique and diverse as his multicultural background. Born in Morocco, he spent most of his childhood in Spain with his Antiguan father before moving to Canada with his family when he was 9. As a performer and musician, his father shared the secrets of the stage and the music of Motown and R&B legends with young Prince who was watching from backstage.
With music in his blood, Prince Amine released his first album, XVIII, on his 18th birthday which created an immediate buzz in the Montreal music scene. Not skipping a beat, he released Hram Vybez less than a year later which was well-received in the USA as it climbed to #9 on the NACC Hip Hop Chart. In 2021, Prince challenged himself and dropped music every month, exploring hip hop, rap, drill, kompa, and R&B, but as of 2022, he’s been focusing on afrobeats and released his album Afrikan Boy in June 2023.
Known for his charismatic and dynamic stage presence, Prince Amine opened for international artists Dadju, Maître Gims and Mr. Eazi. His main influences are Michael Jackson, Chris Brown and Burna Boy.
