Mikaela Monet, formally known as ALAYA, is a Venezuelan singer songwriter and actress. Mikaela was named “Latin Artist on the Rise”, also one of the “5 Latin Female Acts to Watch” by Billboard magazine. In 2020 the artist was nominated in the “Best New Artist Female” category, among artists like Rosalia, for “Premios lo Nuestro” (one of the most prestigious Latin Music Awards Show in the United States).
Mikaela also stars in the Amazon Prime movie “Mambo Dreams”, a fictional feature film inspired by the King of Mambo, “Dámaso Pérez Prado” where Mikaela not only plays the leading role along-side Ruben Albarrán (Lead vocalist from the well-known Mexican band "Café Tacvba") but also co-wrote and performed 3 songs for the soundtrack.
