JÁNA at Speakeasy

JÁNA is an artist, producer and writer from Sweden. She learned to play the classical guitar and started writing songs when she was nine years old in her hometown Uppsala. Since then she has deepened her knowledge in songwriting and production through studies in both the isolated north of Sweden and London. JÁNA was introduced to the world via her collaborations with Swedish heavyweights Little Dragon on her acclaimed debut solo EP 'Flowerworks'. She followed up with single ‘Green’, featuring Nigerian-American duo VanJess, all of this culminating into a 2020 Grammy nomination in Sweden. She followed this with a remix of the single ‘Joyride’ feat. Vic Mensa. As a songwriter, JÁNA got featured in Stormzy’s acclaimed album “This Is What I Mean” on the song “My Presidents Are Black”. Recent live highlights include supporting Leon Bridges, along with performances at All Points East, Lollapalooza and Way Out West.
