Plastic Palms at Vaquero Taquero

Date TBA

It’s late spring 2021 and lockdown restrictions have slowly begun to relax in Turin, Italy when couple Clarissa Ghelli (vox & rhythm guitar) and Daniel Rineer (bass) form their musical project, Plastic Palms. Just 9 months earlier, they decided to move to Italy after having lived in the Philippines. Finding solace and escape in music, they write, compose, and record 7 songs from their makeshift home studio. These tracks appear on Yellow Panda (2021).
Clarissa was born in Italy but grew up in New York City and has spent most of her adult life as an art educator in both places. Clarissa meets Daniel in 2011 in New York City and they hit it off, creatively and romantically. She introduces her long-time friend from her college days, Marcello Newman (Rome - lead guitar), to the mix. The trio soon befriend drummer Sam Vickers (Leeds) and they begin rehearsing and playing together as a four-piece rock band.
In 2023 They release This is Fun, a rowdy and melodic collection of songs written by Clarissa. The band continues to gig around Europe and beyond, write music, and have fun.
The outfit is set to release new music in 2024.
