maxime.
maxime. is a self-released (AWAL), -produced artist who makes music from his bedroom in montreal. his left-of-centre discography retains infectious pop sensibilities: its instrumentation is lush; its polish is colourful and distinctive. on stage, he is joined by clay (a.k.a. clay pigeon, who also plays with the franklin electric and sasha cay), on guitar, and lucas, on drums.
maxime. embarked on a 10-stop headline tour in july, 2023, including stops in NYC (berlin), chicago (schubas), toronto (garrison), boston (mideast club), philly (kung fu necktie), and a sold-out hometown show in ottawa (rainbow bistro). he has also played POP montreal, the indie festival, and school night toronto.
maxime. released his debut LP, "whatevernowiscalled" – an expansive, 18-track project whose soundscapes capture his genre-blending appeal – in 2019; the album has since recorded 20M+ streams globally. its follow-up, cerulean (2020), saw him taking risks and finding himself, sonically, the former electronic artist bringing his singing & songwriting to the foreground.
in march, 2024, maxime. is releasing his 3rd album, "the life and death of a dog," featuring his boldest work to date!
