Born and raised in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood of Englewood, Big Daddy Deja got her start in music through her first boyfriend, Rondonumbanine, a popular upcoming rapper specializing in drill music. After Rondo was sentenced to 39 years in prison for murder, Deja picked up where he left off.

She burst onto the music scene in 2019 with runaway single “Exposing Me” Remix featuring Big Pink Riri, a remake of King Von’s smash of the same name. Her career officially took off with the 2021 release of sleazy but sexy single “I Like It.”

Known for raw and at-times raunchy lyricism, Big Daddy Deja revolutionized the music scene with an innovative style of rapping over traditional juke, a repetitive, up-tempo sub-genre of rap music made up of repetitive tracks.
