South Texas "barrio-big-band" Bombasta blends horn-driven cumbia rhythms with politically-charged, cerebral flows into an infectious, borderless, Spanglish dance-party for the 21st century. The energy of their spirited live shows vibrantly redefines protest music with inspired, unencumbered compositions, revealing honest, resistance themed vocals that ring true, now more than ever.

Bombasta's independent and original sound blends elements of cumbia, funk, hip hop, reggae, salsa, and world rhythms with a big-band approach that moves any audience to their feet. Their unique and impactful performances have put them in a position to share the stage with a wide range of national and international touring musical acts, including George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Los Lobos, ZZ Top, Poncho Sanchez, Kinky, La Santa Cecilia, Ana Tijoux, Chico Trujillo, Los Rakas, El Dusty, Grupo Fantasma, Los Texmaniacs, and Las Cafeteras.

Having established themselves as a live-performance musical act, centered on bringing community together in-person through music and dance, the band is now focused on taking their sound to wider audiences with the release of a new single & music video.
