JPerry
Jonathan Perry, widely known by his stage name, J Perry, is a Haitian musician, singer, songwriter, and producer of international renown. Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on June 4, 1988, J Perry was introduced to music at a young age by his Godfather, a band member. He enrolled in his first Classical Piano course at the age of six.
J Perry's music fuses Haitian Roots Music, Kompa, Reggae Zouk, and Soca, culminating in an innovative Caribbean Pop sound. This unique blend propelled him to international stardom following the release of his debut album, "One Life To Live", in 2011. The album included the hit song "Dekole", which earned significant airplay on Haitian radios and beyond.
In his expansive career, J Perry has released two additional albums, collaborated with over 60 artists worldwide, including Grammy-winning producers Izybeats and Michael Brun, and performed in Europe, the Caribbean, Canada, Brazil, and the United States. His song "Bouje" was featured in the Disney movie “Cars 3”, adding to his international appeal.
J Perry continues to break boundaries and make history, being the first Haitian artist to perform at Trinidad & London Carnival.
