Old Heavy Hands

Old Heavy Hands: A quintessential y'allternative southern rock act from Greensboro, NC, formed in 2015 by Nate Hall, Larry Wayne Staton, and David Self. The band found its final form in 2018 with the addition of John Chester on drums and Josh Coe on bass. Their self-titled debut album in 2017 and "Mercy" in 2018 showcased a unique blend of southern rock, Americana, and gritty edge.

Tattoo artists by day, Nate, Larry, and David infuse storytelling and southern grit into the heart of Old Heavy Hands. John Chester's rhythmic depth and Josh Coe's powerful bass lines solidify the band's sonic identity. Described as "Americana with teeth," they bring a visceral and unapologetic approach to music, steeped in southern storytelling yet delivered with modern intensity.

Old Heavy Hands has graced stages alongside artists like Jason Isbell, John Moreland, Lucero, and Greta Van Fleet. Join them on a ride through the landscapes of the American South, where every note tells a story and every beat echoes the pulse of the region they call home.
