UTLEY3 is a power pop trio formed in 2013 comprised of Austin club veterans Steve Chapman on drums (Texas Instruments, Golden Apples, Grease Can), Shannon Rierson o bass and vocals (Tyrant Swing, Funner, Austerity Measures, Golden Apples), and Cordy Lavery guitar and vocals (His Boy Elroy, Fontanelles). Jangly 12-string infused indie Americana originals by past Kerrville New Folk Songwriting winner Lavery and choice covers round out their sound. Celebrating the release of their third LP, Comeback8 on Flak Records, UTLEY3 if thrilled to be part of this year's SXSW, their third appearance as a band.
