The Sewing Club
Formed in 2019, The Sewing Club is Hannah McElroy (guitar,
vocals), Stephen Meaux (guitar, bass), Justin Mckinney
(guitar), Zach McCoy (drums, vocals). A shoegaze/indie rock
project at its core, The Sewing Club began in the basements
of their friend’s houses in Nashville, TN. The band is young,
with only nine songs officially released on streaming
platforms, all recorded at Polychrome Ranch
with Jared Corder of Repeat Repeat*. However, they’ve already
secured a prominent position in their hometown's vital and
burgeoning music community. In just this past year, they’ve
completed a 60-day tour opening for Arlie across the entire
US and shared the stage with acts like Protomartyr, fanclubwallet, Fleece, Charlotte Sands,
Lowertown, headlined Third Man's Blue Room, and much more.
On much of their upcoming music, you can hear the band’s
influence from bands of decades past. Yet, this isn’t just a
repetition of what we’ve heard. Instead, it's the
manifestation of the thriving music community the band has
grown up in and loves.
