Dumb Buoys Fishing Club
Dumb Buoys Fishing Club, brain-child of London based artists DanDlion and Havelock, draw influence from concept-based groups such as Gorillaz and Daft Punk, giving them the ability to detach from their individual projects and create a conceptual universe where their most off-the-wall musical ambitions can live. Sonically, they’re influenced by N.E.R.D and Beastie Boys, using jagged drum grooves and growling bass lines to inject rhythm into every track. In 2023, Dumb Buoys Fishing Club launched onto the scene with "one of the most thrilling debut albums of the year" (NME), featuring tracks with BROCKHAMPTON’s Merlyn Wood, Bryce Vine, Leyla Blue, joe unknown, and more. They scored support from key tastemakers in press, radio and festivals, including debut live shows at Glastonbury and The Great Escape, featuring on the EA Sports FC 24 Official Soundtrack, and BBC Introducing Track of the Week on Radio 1. Sailing into 2024, they'll return with new music and more "surefire, wish-you-were-there sets” (DIY).
