Presented by McDonald’s Spotlight Dorado
Latinos Navigating the Film Industry Meet Up
McDonald’s Spotlight Dorado short film contest is back, offering emerging Latino filmmakers industry mentorship opportunities and a $75,000 budget to produce their short films.
While Latinos have stories to tell, their stories make up about 1% of the ones told in Hollywood. As part of the diverse communities it serves, McDonald’s wants to help change that.
Join 2022 winner Jesus Celaya in an engaging conversation for Latino filmmakers seeking to navigate the film industry. Learn about his experience with Spotlight Dorado, his luchador-inspired short Lucha Noir, and how the program has helped his career.
Submissions for Spotlight Dorado are now open through April 21 and free of charge. U.S.-based Latinos can visit SpotlightDorado.com to learn more about the program and share their stories!
