Can the psychedelic movement be in right relationship with Indigenous communities? “Right Relationship” is an Indigenous principle that describes how we interact with the other beings of our world, including people, plants, animals, cultures and ecosystems. For the psychedelic renaissance and traditional medicines, Right Relationship is a guiding principle for how medicine practitioners relate with Indigenous teachers and stewards of these healing plants and their biocultural contexts. The psychedelic movement has the potential for incredible healing and social change. What does it look like to honor the origins of this medicine, and both contemporary and traditional users? And how can access and benefit sharing work towards Right Relationship in our current cultural and economic systems?
