The sky is the biggest canvas in the world and a space that has for years being sparsely populated, especially as a platform for creative expression. Within our talk we will explore the rise of the drones, how a vehicle so simple in form has become a platform for creative expression and yet can still suffer at the hands of others.
Within entertainment, the skies have been dominated by the "pops and bangs" of the firework but now this humble pixel of light can tell much bigger stories, ones that move people on a scale never seen before. We will explore why less is sometimes more, why narrative is still king and where this still infant technology can go, from Bladerunner style billboards to swarm kits under the Christmas tree.
