African Startups: A Platform for the Future Meet Up
It is estimated that African startups raised about $5B last year (Techcrunch), which represents only 1% of global funding(Quartz). Increasing this market size would involve bringing more funders into this ecosystem, and creating a framework that allows for more strategic partnerships between International VCs and angels and African startups. We will have the opportunity to discuss hurdles involved in creating these partnerships.
Attendees will be able to meet startups and founders from the four largest startup ecosystems hubs in Africa: Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria. This event brings together different stakeholders in the African startup ecosystem. It provides an opportunity for founders, government stakeholders, VCs, and angels to meet, network, and potentially collaborate.
