The world of social intelligence is mysterious, businesses talk about doing it, yet it's hard to tell if they're doing it right or getting anything valuable from their social listening efforts. As an emerging field of research, we find professionals in many business disciplines from marketing, social media, communications, insight, and innovation who champion the use of social and internet data in business decision-making. Yet, in spite of that, there are few resources and open forums for these professionals to come together to learn, share, and network. This meet-up provides the ideal opportunity for professionals who use social listening in their daily activities to learn and share best practices from each other in this new and fast-moving field.
