How We Won! Legislation Cuts Food Waste & Hunger
Roughly 42 million Americans are hungry, yet roughly one-third of food in the United States goes to waste each year. The Food Donation Improvement Act is new bi-partisan Bill just passed by the U.S. House and Senate and signed into law by President Biden. The bill will radically cut food waste and reduce hunger. This panel will explore the importance of the Bill, how it will incentivize companies to donate surplus food, and what eaters can do to help pass more bi-partisan food policies like this one.
