Making Energy Clean, Reliable and Equitable
California is considered the bellwether state for policies that address the effects of climate change. This session will provide an insider's look from the front lines of the clean energy transition and the challenges that still remain. It will detail the complex decisions and myriad players influencing the steps being taken today -- from utilizing renewable energy to electrifying automobiles and buildings to deploying promising new storage technologies. The talk will explain how decarbonizing the economy benefits communities through the safe, equitable, and reliable delivery of affordable energy across all demographic sectors. Finally, it will look at the human and economic consequences of inaction and the need for all of us to take immediate action to confront this existential crisis.
