In 2020, we saw for the first time that the number of persons over 60 outnumbered the people under five, and these demographic shifts are projected to continue. This crop of elder individuals have new expectations of what work and life look like as they move into the third chapter of their lives. These individuals are tech savvy, socially conscious, and find purpose in work or volunteering, as they get older they’ll continue to strive for getting the most out of life. While many tech platforms have focused on the needs of younger users, in this panel we talk to the CEOs of three tech-based start-ups that are designing technology for this group that excites these users and capitalizes on opportunities in an underserved market.
