Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) has become an integral component of how organizations operate yet the disability community is often still left out of the conversation. Coming out of the pandemic world, the travel industry is experiencing a massive reawakening. If travel is to address DEI authentically, now is the time to acknowledge and develop inclusive practices that reflect the diversity of lived experiences that disabled people have to offer. In this session, leaders/creators in the accessibility tourism industry will share their personal journeys working in the space, highlight incredible experiences of inclusive travel, and speak to best practices for anyone who wants to build accessibility into their business. This panel will be entirely disability-led.
