Nothing is more important for color critical imagery than rendering the desired skin tones. In this presentation CEO of Hive Lighting Jon Edward Miller and his guest image creators will explore the art and science of using multi-spectrum LEDs to expand the ways in which we light the human face for image capture. Thanks to innovations in LED technologies the ability to adjust the color, hue, saturation and spectral output of lights has never been more accessible. Visual artists can create dramatic changes in a persons appearance on camera by changing and limiting the visible spectrum of light directed towards a subject. This can be used creatively for traditional cosmetic benefits or for unique narrative and aesthetic effects, which will be demonstrated live during the presentation.
