What Robots Can Teach Us About Autonomous Vehicles
For nearly a decade, we’ve been told fully autonomous vehicles (AVs) will soon be driving on our streets. While full size AVs are not quite here yet, they continue to loom large on the horizon. Despite years of anticipation, public policy, particularly at the city level, continues to lag behind these innovations.
But some cities are working to get ahead of the curve. A cohort of cities across the country are leading the charge to better understand what the AV future looks like and maximize the benefits of autonomous technologies. In this session, panelists will discuss insights from sidewalk delivery robot pilots and the challenges and opportunities in planning for an autonomous future.
