Bernardo Rivera Munozcano
Bernardo Rivera Muñozcano currently serves as interim lead of the Communities’ Tech Innovation $20 million strategy and portfolio at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. He leverages his expertise in technology governance, community engagement, and urban affairs, to create positive impact through local governments, legislative bodies, and philanthropic organizations. His professional experiences include roles at Bloomberg Associates and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics (MODA), where he conducted research on digital leadership, and governance frameworks for algorithms and automated systems. Previously, he led the Open City strategy at LabCDMX, the experimental & urban creativity office of Mexico City, his hometown, where he also served as special advisor for the local government’s General Counsel, leading the civic engagement strategy in the drafting of the city’s first Constitution.
