Peek Behind Closed Doors: Union Organizing in Food
In record numbers food workers are successfully organizing unions from Starbucks, to Chipotle, to Amazon, to Trader Joe's. This is happening despite fierce opposition to their efforts from farms and processing plants to restaurants and grocery stores. This powerful session will include an interactive theatrical depiction along with luminary speaker presentations to showcase the barriers and obstacles to organizing in the food system. We’ll take you behind the closed doors of these organizing campaigns as food workers struggle for fair wages, protections, safe work environments, and much more.
