In an increasingly digital age, filmmakers must identify new ways to reach audience especially during a time when the online-release models are being disrupted. The metaverse is much more than the natural evolution of the internet: it represents the dematerialization of the world, where individuals can engage real-time with unlimited environments.
As the audience of tomorrow is now there and on gaming such as Minecraft and Fortnite, independent filmmakers are being forced to identify new ways to promote their work, release their films and reach audience inside those new worlds.
This panel will explore new initiatives developed for the film industry in the metaverse, what's working, and evolving audience behaviors, while addressing impact on the film and TV business.
