Regenerative Apparel: Farm Level Solutions to Tackling the Climate Crisis
The fashion industry is particularly vulnerable to climate change-related supply chain risks, yet it’s still one of the least sustainable industries. It accounts for approximately 2.1 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions per year with more than 70 percent of these emissions coming from production.
America’s role in cleaning up its apparel industry hinges not just on reshoring production and developing new textile innovations, but on holistic and regenerative farming methods that take fashion from seed to sewn garment.
In this panel, textile leaders and regenerative agriculture experts will come together to discuss developments that will position America as a sustainable textile leader.
