Urban population growth and climate change demand are imploring nations to rethink our commuting needs globally. America is now rethinking its carbon footprint while accelerating integrated mobility by massively investing in its infrastructure and key technologies. In this session, panelists will discuss lessons learned from across the pond, specifically in Germany and Switzerland, in developing and managing connected rail mobility in the context of employing digitalized and sustainable solutions while gaining firsthand knowledge of US passenger rail ambitions and capabilities to identify commercial synergies.
The panel will provide a clear view of different economic incentives, cultural dynamics and policy tools at play to create a mobility ecosystem around cities and towns. And will present concrete examples to demonstrate that coordinated, digitalised and integrated mobility is economically viable, efficient and most importantly environmentally sustainable.
