Not Your Typical Aunty: The Brown Womxn Revolution
South Asian women are blazing trails as entrepreneurs, business leaders and media creators, but they face a unique set of challenges as they do so. Hailing from communities that have set ideas of professional success — doctors, lawyers, and engineers only please! — and a woman’s role in domestic life, they must break barriers at home all while navigating uncharted territory in their workplaces. This panel of brown female leaders with expertise in media, politics and business will talk about how strivers can overcome personal and professional obstacles to create career paths that speak to their true passions and help them change the world.
