People with Type 1 Diabetes will die within days without insulin. How do 2 million uninsured people with Type 1 Diabetes face the skyrocketing costs of their healthcare in America? Why do young people who have aged out of family insurance coverage at 26 have to choose between paying for food, shelter, and healthcare?
Pay or Die Filmmaker Scott Alexander Ruderman will join film subject Nicole Smith-Holt and Mayo Clinic Research Physician Dr. S. Vincent Rajkumar to discuss the life or death stakes of being uninsured with Diabetes in America. This panel will be moderated by Texas Representative James Talarico, who is advancing a bill to cap insulin costs.
