Criminal bot syndicates continue to attack the infrastructure of the streaming music industry. Fortunately, the industry has begun fighting them together.

At the last SXSW, members of this panel discussed how collaboration enabled them to fight bots more efficiently together than they could on their own. Now larger collaborations are developing through standards organizations (such as DDEX) and other working groups throughout the industry.

Labels, distributors, publishers, streaming services, rights organizations, and others are strategizing how they can work together to fight bots and other fraud—while balancing their own business commitments to their partners, artists, and fans.
