Recording: Cannabis and Psychedelics: Where the Parallels Align and Diverge, Date TBA

It’s tempting to compare the emerging psychedelics market to the more established cannabis industry. Both formerly criminalized, stigmatized psychoactive substances are finding mainstream cultural and commercial acceptance. Despite the distinct differences between each industry, there are parallels between cannabis and psychedelics that inform how we’ve reached this point on the path toward legalization. In this session, leading industry and policy experts will explore the current position of cannabis and psychedelics, where these movements-slash-industries are headed, and the public health implications for a post-drug war future. The discussion will also examine the similarities and differences between psychedelics and cannabis consumers—and explore how the brand side, therapy side and ancillary services may take shape around the psychedelics industry.
