What Our Kids Stand to Lose: Reporting on Children's Rights

Recording: What Our Kids Stand to Lose: Reporting on Children's Rights, Date TBA

If children are our future, we need to change the way we tell their stories. Too often, the adults in charge of systems meant to help kids are the same ones putting them in danger. From harm at the hands of state-run foster care to attacks on healthcare for trans youth from sitting legislators, we're witnessing an unparalleled assault on children's wellbeing. In this session, working journalists and scholars will explain how the media can improve its reporting on kids and help readers understand what they can do to hold newsrooms accountable to better coverage of children's issues.
