A majority of the people that work for us are disengaged. The way we measure performance isn’t fair and is full of bias. Our meetings are long and without focus and intent. Our managers aren’t clear on what’s expected of them. The fact is people don’t really like working for us, and we are paying the price with a historic number of people leaving the workforce. In great economic times, this is enough to ruin any company. But with COVID and an economy suffering high inflation and impending recession, you must rethink the old ways you have managed people and performance. My last company grew by over 1300% in the previous downturn, mainly because of our accountability system. In this session, I will explain how you can recession-proof your business by implementing a fair and optimized accountability system and structure that will drive growth and transform your culture into one where people believe in the mission and one where they want to work.
