Tech and Elections in the Next Two Years

Mar 10, 2023

2:30pm – 3:30pm CT

Technology platforms have had their share in the elections space for well over two decades. In a recent report from the Bipartisan Policy Center, they catalog the evolution of tech and its impact on global democracy over a 26-year span. While we look back on the growth of social media and technology in elections, what does this mean for the next two years, leading to the 2024 Presidential election and elections in the EU, Mexico, India, and others around the world?

In this session, we will examine technology's impacts on discourse in the 2022 midterms, what we will see in 2023 as more candidates announce their bids for the Presidency, and possible outcomes and strategies for tech companies in 2024.
