Silicon Heartland: The New Frontier of Tech Innovation
Silicon Heartland author and CNBC contributor Rebecca Fannin chats with top-tier VC Jim Breyer about how money and power are shifting from Silicon Valley (and China) across Middle America, creating a new Tech Belt. Now, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Cleveland and more mid-sized Heartland cities are booming, attracting tech talent and creating clusters of innovation in former Rust Belt regions. This movement of tech startups bodes well for boosting the nation's economy and morale as inland regions are rebooted and revitalized. Breyer himself moved from California's Sand Hill Road to Austin for new horizons in a hub outside the coasts. He has called Rebecca’s newly released book as "indispensable for founders, inventors, and change-makers."
