Featured Speaker: Leading with Good Power
The word “power” often has negative connotations. Ginni Rometty, former IBM Chairman and CEO who was among the first female leaders in tech and led one of the most high-stakes corporate transformations in business history, knows that power doesn’t have to be bad to be potent. Power can be used with respect, and with intent to benefit the many, not the few. Good Power is necessary to make things better for ourselves, our organizations, and society, and it’s a choice available to all of us.
In an engaging conversation, Rometty shares how the five principles of Good Power helped her family overcome financial hardship, fueled her 40-year rise at IBM to become its first woman CEO, and inspired her current work as co-chair of OneTen, a nonprofit connecting people without college degrees to good paying jobs.
This session will also explore your own potential to create positive change in ways that matter to you—in your life, work, and the world.
