Madeline Hollern from Austin Monthly will interview Kate to learn how a young girl from Kalamazoo Michigan turned into what The New York Times called “a contemporary update of science popularizers like Bill Nye the Science Guy or Donald “Mr. Wizard” Herbert”. Kate will talk about Mrs. Kelli Palsrok, her high school chemistry teacher that inspired her to pursue science, and will delve into the history of her Fun with Chemistry outreach program. Madeline will ask Kate about her favorite experiments, and how she feels about the latest TikTok ban at the University of Texas. Madeline may even convince Kate to do a small experiment!
