THE NEIGHBORS HAVE MONEY FOR YOU: NEIGHBORING RIGHTS NOW
Labels and artists don´t earn money when their recordings are played by traditional radio in the U.S., but they do in Europe. That’s because of “neighboring rights”, which include royalties from the use of recordings on radio, in nightclubs - even for iPhones sold in Germany. In this conversation, we explain the different revenue sources and options rightsowners have to collect royalties. Because if you´re not actively claiming, then someone else will get your money.
