Marcos G
Originally from Hialeah, Florida, 26-year-old singer/songwriter marcos g is living a sensational double life of school teacher turned artist. Three years ago, he never imagined his passion for helping people would go so much further beyond the classroom. After his friends urged him to start writing his own music back in 2018, and recording over YouTube beats, he uploaded his first tunes to SoundCloud which started racking up thousands of plays and encouraged him to continue writing and making music. Since then he has released debut EP “dancefloor” in March 2020 to acclaim from top press outlets and more than 18M streams to date. He has since followed up with “switch up,” his first bilingual release in English and Spanish, as well as the title track for his new sophomore EP looking for something, and most recently singles “Chicken Little,” “Cold Feet,” and “17 Anymore.” In August 2021 he released his EP “looking for something”, which encapsulates his R&B and pop sounds into a smooth and beautifully crafted project. Pulling inspiration from artists such as Omar Apollo, Kali Uchis, and Frank Ocean, Marcos G taps into his latin roots and 00’s R&B influences.
