Founded in Austin, Texas in 2007, Peligrosa was created to showcase the comprehensiveness of music from the Americas, the Caribbean and all of its diasporas. With members in Austin, Corpus Christi, and Monterrey, Mexico, Peligrosa promotes culturally artistic events and projects for and with an international and inter-generational public. Now in its 15th year, Peligrosa, a collective of DJs, producers, visual artists and more, is heavily focused on re-energizing the sights and sounds of our diverse roots. Our mission is to share and educate our audience and fans utilizing music and visual arts that examine the distinctiveness of our heritages ranging from the traditional to the contemporary and from the past to the present. By reinterpreting and sharing our art and music with our diverse communities, we continue to bridge the gap between classic and modern in respectfully new and refreshing unique ways.
