Big $wift
Big $wift (Born March 5) is a 26-year-old budding West Coast hip-hop artist. The Downey,
California native has been rapping since the tender age of 15 years old and is most recognized
for his street-flavored spin on autotune Trap’n’B.
He has consistently been featured in prominent Hip-Hop publications such as Elevator,
Hypebeast, Disrupt Magazine, Daily Chiefers, Rosecrans Ave, and No Jumper.
The Southeast Los Angeles dignitary began performing in backyard parties throughout L.A.
county and later graced the stage at some of the most legendary venues, performing at
SXSW(2019), The Roxy, The Observatory, The Echoplex, Catch One on the same bills as his
contemporaries: Shoreline Mafia, Baby Stone Gorillas, Blueface, and Rucci.
His latest offering, “Still Serving 2,” is the artist's most celebrated album to date. $wift took over the local scene in early
2022 with his infectious single “Jiggy” featuring Inland Empire’s Thirty2 and Too Jiggy. The
Crook and Benny Ave production illuminated the artist’s ability to create captivating hooks even
when accompanied by harmonious equivalents. The project features 22Gfay, Jakarta $lim,
SieteGang Yabbie, Yhung T.O., Kyle Banks, & Rosecrans Vic.
