Youth Sector
Brighton-based Youth Sector’s music is a coiled spring of urgency and unpredictable energy; while lyrically offering a sense of catharsis for the confusion of modern adult life.
Taking influence from art school greats DEVO and Talking Heads, the Brighton quintet never revel in bleakness, managing to twist everyday narratives into music that is quite the opposite being upbeat, full of energy and with irresistible choruses you can’t help but sing along with.
Having taken a DIY approach to touring the UK and EU across their last EP ‘Adult Contemporary’ the band will release their next EP ‘Quarrels’ through Leeds label Dance to the Radio with burgeoning support from BBC 6 Music, Introducing, Dork, Line Of Best Fit, Clash and DIY with first single ‘The Ball’ getting consistent plays across BBC Radio 1 and 6 music. A stellar live act with commanding stage presence, Youth Sector have played shows and toured with Goat Girl, Darwin Deez, Cheap Teeth, Our Girl, Courting and Walt Disco as well as picking up a bunch of festivals in the UK and EU over the last year.
