DJ POOL at Higher Ground
POOL is a passionate DJ, progressive party promoter, and a unique character in Seoul's music scene
Starting his DJ career at the fresh age of 19, Pool was highly influenced by both his father, who was a professional drummer, and his sister, a hip hop enthusiast who majored in classical music.
Inspired by his upbringing and love for early 2000’s hip-hop music, Pool has created his own unique sound that fuses old school with disco, break beats, funk, and new wave genres in a way that is experimental, exciting, and captivative.
While refining his very unique sound, Pool has consistently pushed the
boundaries of Seoul’s nightlife culture and changed the sonic landscape
within Korea with his party planning and promotion, as well as his A&R
work. Pool has brought out artists such as NoJumper’s Camgirl for Korean
performances and opened up for international artists such as Lil Yatchy and Vladimir Caushemar. He has opened for notable Korean artists such as Changmo, DBO, OYGLI, Lil Cherry, and CAMO. As one of the central figures and DJs in the Korean scene, Pool has organized his own parties such as ‘G-String’ and ‘Poolside,’ and regularly plays at clubs Cakeshop, Soap, Henz, and Dirty Ros
