Tuyo

Date TBA

Always guided by the complexity of human emotions, the Brazilian trio Tuyo forms a combination of feelings and sounds that travel through pop, matching beats with acoustic guitars, but which are complex to label. This “non-place” occupied by Lio, Lay Soares and Machado is what inspires the creation of the layers that architect the sound that brought the group here. The album "Chegamos Sozinhos em Casa" caught the attention of the public and specialized critics. "Tuyo offers this cozy lap, a caress and, at the same time, exposes some truths we are afraid of, but we must face them. Listening is like doing therapy, but much cheaper," said Rolling Stone Brasil about the track "Sem Mentir". This one was even mentioned by the critic Jon Pareles, from The New York Times. This happened when the North American newspaper named Tuyo's show at the SXSW festival, in 2021, as one of the best at the event. "The members share lead and harmony vocals in songs that laced pealing indie-rock with electronics and undercurrents of Brazilian syncopation, earnest yet always graceful", he said. In 2022 the band played at the Oppening Night of the Music Festival at SXSW and now is back with a new show.
