Daniel Fears

Date TBA

Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Daniel Fears grew up belonging to many worlds--performing in church, orchestra, and (unknown to his strict religious household) listening to R&B and Hip Hop.

In partnership with longtime collaborator and Grammy Award Nominee Moses Elias (Tycho, Westside Boogie, Eminem) Fears’ debut EP, Canopy, brings these seemingly disparate influences into one space.

His standout single, "Keep On", channels the sentiment of Marvin Gaye's album "What's Going On" with modern instrumentation and soundscapes; think James Blake and Frank Ocean. Daniel's creative work and performances have earned him 2022 Sonic Guild Grant (formerly Black Fret) and a stint as KUTX's Artist of the Month in 2021. This spring he's re-imagining his electro-R&B music his music for an acoustic string quintet in partnership with KMFA--Austin's classical music station.
