Fight The Fight, Mortimer’s debut EP release with producer Winta James/Overstand Entertainment, was released November 2019, and featured the hit singles "Careful" and "Lightning". The 6-track project features live musicianship and emotive lyricism, gliding from hard-hitting drum and bass to seductive lovers rock, to spiritually conscious soul-reggae, as Mortimer’s haunting, melismatic, honey-sweet vocals narrate his deeply personal stories with touching vulnerability and openness. Fight The Fight debuted at #3 on the Billboard Reggae Chart and #1 on the US iTunes Reggae Chart. Mortimer collected two awards at the 2020 Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) Honour Awards, winning Breakthrough Artiste and Song Of The Year for “Lightning”.
