Shaylee at Cheer Up Charlie's Outdoor

Date TBA

Shaylee from Portland, OR is the power pop/post-rock power trio you never knew you needed in your life. Fronted by Elle Archer's shredding lead guitar and emotive vocals, backed by Nate Anderson's propulsive drumming, and held down by Robin Cook's rock-solid bass lines, Shaylee's songs ring out like anthems for a queer generation. Pulling influences from such disparate sources as Courtney Barnett, Talk Talk, Elliott Smith, and Buzzcocks, Shaylee's music feels immediately familiar and unique all the same. Elle's songs are deeply felt affairs, all written from her unique perspective as a trans woman living in the ever-increasingly uncertain modern world. Signed to legendary PNW indie label Kill Rock Stars in 2020 and having dropped their label debut LP Short-Sighted Security in March 2022, Shaylee's hellbent on becoming your favorite band by any means necessary, and they might succeed just yet.
